The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill
​
At the Committee Stage:-
-
all of the Government's 124 amendments to the Bill were agreed
-
none of the Opposition's 72 amendments (including for the abolition of the Landlord's right to forfeit a Long Lease) were agreed
​
At the Report Stage, the Government tabled a further amendment to the Bill banning the sale of new Leasehold Houses
​
The Bill has now concluded its passage through the House of Commons and has had its First Reading in the House of Lords - a date for the Second Reading in the House of Lords has not yet been published
​

The Ground Rent Consultation
​
This consultation has now finished
The Government had indicated that it would, at the Committee Stage, be introducing further amendments to the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill, based upon the outcome of the Consultation, but no such amendments have, as yet, been tabled
